Ducati 959 Panigale Corse Launched In India at Rs. 15.2 lakh

Ducati has launched the 959 Panigale Crose in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 15.2 lakh. The Corse suffix suggests that this is a special edition version of the 959 Panigale, which is Ducati’s ‘entry-level’ track bike. With some cosmetic updates and a full load of electronics on board, the 959 Panigale Corse is priced at a premium of Rs. 67,000, as compared to its standard counterpart.

The most significant visual change made on the 959 Panigale Corse is the new dedicated colour scheme that is inspired by the Ducati Corse Moto-GP bike, the Desmosedici GP 18. Meanwhile, the alloy wheels are blacked out to give a menacing look. The Corse edition also comes loaded to the brim with electronic features like a two-channel Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Ride-by-Wire (RbW). The bike comes with three riding modes – Race, Sport and Wet, which help the rider to tune the bike’s response and dynamics depending on the riding conditions.

The International-spec Ducati 959 Panigale Corse comes with Ohlins suspension, lithium-ion battery, Ohlins steering damper and Ducati Performance titanium exhaust by Akrapovic. However, Ducati has made some compromises on the India-spec model, which misses out on all these features. The primary reason behind this equipment elimination is likely to be related to costs and the final price tag of the motorcycle.
