In the light of the upcoming festive season, Maruti Suzuki has launched a new Swift variant, a limited edition one. The limited edition has been priced at Rs 4.99 lakh, which is the same as the cost of a base-spec variant of the Swift. However, the limited edition gets a host of extra equipment as a part of the limited edition package.
In terms of equipment, Maruti Suzuki has offered a single-din Bluetooth system with two speakers on the vehicle. Also, the wheel caps are now painted black at no additional cost. The limited edition spec Maruti Suzuki Swift also gets front power windows, ABS, dual airbags on the front, and rear parking sensors as a part of the limited edition spec equipment.

The latest Swift, apart from many changes and revised parts, does not undergo engine changes. The current Swift gets the 1.2-litre K Series petrol engine, and a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre DDiS diesel Multijet mated to a five-speed gearbox. Also, the Swift gets AMT transmission which is also called the Auto Gear Shift Transmission (AGS). The car

comes in LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi, and ZXi+/ZDi+ variants.

The 2018 Swift gets headlamps with DRLs and LED projectors. similar to the current Dzire. Also on the new list are a refreshed grille and a new bumper with fog lamp housings. Maruti Suzuki made changes to the side profile with the C-Pillar which now gets black cladding with new door handles on the pillar as well. On the rear, the tail lamps are more square-ish than the outgoing model, with character lines running across the side and into the tail lamps which gives a more aggressive look.
The new Swift also gets new alloys and revised bumper as well.

• On the interior, the new Swift gets a revised console with a new touchscreen infotainment system. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and gets new controls. The steering wheel and driver console have been revised with new lighting and new speedo/tacho and information display. The steering wheel is now a flat-bottomed one with audio and call controls on the steering.
The prices for the 2018 Swift standard variant starts at Rs 4.99 lakhs. The diesel variant starts at Rs 5.99 lakh. For the automatic variants, the new Swift starts at Rs 6.30 lakh for petrol AGS and Rs 7.34 for diesel AGS variant.
